About the role#
This internship position offers an opportunity to provide practical information management and administrative support to the Communications team. You will work on the redesign of shared team files and assist with information governance activities. This role is based in Ottawa at the head office and operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the redesign of Communications team shared files by organizing content and updating naming conventions.
- Apply standards for file organization, metadata, tagging, and data quality validation.
- Collaborate with the Information Management team on content migration, archiving, and quality assurance.
- Conduct research and analysis to prepare reports, inventories, and process documentation.
- Provide administrative and operational support while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university program related to information management, archives, or library science.
- Coursework or experience in document management, SharePoint, metadata, or digital information organization.
- Experience preparing various documents such as reports and presentations.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a reliability security clearance.
- You must be returning to studies within the next year.
- Experience with SharePoint or generative AI tools is considered an asset.

- Term: October 2026 to December 31, 2026.
- Hours: 22.5 hours per week.
