    About the role#

    The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is hiring a student for the Technology division. This role is based at our test lab in Ottawa. You will work 37.5 hours per week from September 26, 2026, to December 31, 2026. This is a paid, full-time hybrid position.

    What you'll do#

    • Support testing and evaluation activities at the test center.
    • Assist with testing and evaluation of the checked baggage screening system.
    • Collect and analyze project data.
    • Prepare test reports.
    • Update the inventory of test objects and simulants.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a college or university program in engineering, computer science, technology, or a related field.
    • Experience collecting and organizing data.
    • Experience writing test procedures and reports.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a reliability security clearance.

    • Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid).
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Salary: $18.15 to $30.20 per hour, depending on education level.
