About the role#
As a Data Services Intern, you will support the Data team by completing high-volume work items. This is an execution-focused role that offers hands-on exposure to a data organization while you build foundational technical habits. You will report to the Director of Data Support and work alongside Data Services Engineers. This role is open to students or graduates in Data Science, Computer Science, Political Science, or Communications.
What you'll do#
- Monitor a shared inbox and respond to incoming work-item requests.
- Read each request to identify the correct productionized script and inputs.
- Check outputs for completeness and errors before delivery.
- Communicate status updates clearly to requestors and the Data Services Engineering team.
- Escalate out-of-scope requests to a Data Services Engineer or the Director of Data Support.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability in managing a queue of discrete tasks.
- Clear and professional written communication skills.
- Comfort with basic command-line or terminal use.
- Ability to follow documented procedures precisely and consistently.
- A background check is required for this position.
