About the role#
The Graduate Assistant for Spiritual Life and Service works within the Department of Student Life to manage student service activities. This is a two-year position that requires the assistant to maintain full-time status in an eligible Carroll University graduate program. The role reports to the Director of Spiritual Life and Service.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive service program.
- Provide leadership and budget management for the Orange Thread food pantry and career clothing closet.
- Plan and coordinate service events, including Service Saturdays, First-Year Day of Service, and Alternative Spring Break programming.
- Create marketing materials to promote student service activities.
- Lead, motivate, supervise, and evaluate student staff.
- Assess program needs and develop new initiatives.
- Act as a student advocate by providing guidance and referrals.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Full-time enrollment in an eligible Carroll University graduate program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A valid motor vehicle license and the ability to be insured under the university plan.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with a diverse student population.
