About the role#
CareChoice offers a 3-month internship program for students currently enrolled in Allied Health qualifications. This role provides hands-on experience and mentoring while you complete your studies. It is a paid, full-time position with the possibility of continued employment after the program concludes.
What you'll do#
As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist clients with daily living and personal growth. Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting clients to build independence and reach personal goals.
- Assisting with Supported Independent Living tasks.
- Facilitating community access and providing transport.
- Providing domestic and personal care.
What you'll need#
We look for reliable students who are currently enrolled in an Allied Health qualification, such as Nursing or Physics. You should have experience working with people with disability through previous work, placements, or personal life. You must also have:
- A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Access to a comprehensively insured car.
Location & details#
This position is based on-site in Mulgrave, Ontario. The internship follows a rolling intake schedule.
