About the role#
CareChoice is offering a 3-month Disability Support Worker Internship for students currently enrolled in an Allied Health qualification. This program provides hands-on experience and mentoring, allowing you to support clients while completing your studies. Successful completion of the program may lead to ongoing employment opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support clients in building independence and achieving personal goals.
- Assist with Supported Independent Living tasks.
- Facilitate community access and transport.
- Provide domestic and personal care.
What you'll need#
- Current enrolment in an Allied Health qualification, such as Nursing or Physics.
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a comprehensively insured car.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Experience working with, or supporting, people with disability through work, placement, or personal life.
