About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you serve as a primary point of contact for residents and prospective clients. You will support the team in maintaining high occupancy rates through effective leasing and resident retention. This role requires a balance of administrative work, customer service, and community engagement.
What you'll do#
- Act as an ambassador for customer service to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Manage lease applications and maintain accurate file documentation.
- Assist with planning and executing community events.
- Present the community to prospective residents using the Cardinal Way of Leasing, which includes handling inquiries, conducting tours, and closing sales.
- Perform administrative tasks at the front desk and help with community projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least one year completed.
- A minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- A valid driver’s license.
- The physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Enrollment in majors such as Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, or Communications is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Berkeley, California.
- This is an on-site, paid position.
- The role is part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
- You must be a current or future leaseholder of the community and live on-site per guidelines.
