About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will support our team by delivering quality customer service and helping maintain high occupancy levels. You will work on-site in Ithaca, New York, for approximately 20 hours per week. This role requires you to live on-site as a leaseholder of the community.
What you'll do#
- Act as a primary point of contact for residents and prospective clients.
- Handle administrative tasks at the front desk.
- Greet visitors, answer leasing calls, and guide prospective residents through the community.
- Manage the full leasing process, from determining needs to closing sales and completing paperwork.
- Maintain accurate lease files and participate in audits.
- Keep the tour path clean and welcoming.
- Assist with planning community events and special projects.
- Participate in company training programs, including the Cardinal Way of Leasing.
- Handle on-call duties, such as lock-outs or nightly rounds.
- Work evenings and weekends as scheduled.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and physically access all areas of the property.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- A positive attitude and the ability to embody our core values.

- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20 to $22 per hour plus bonus potential.
- Note: This is a temporary position that requires an annual re-application.
