About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a customer service ambassador for our residents. You will work to maintain high occupancy levels through resident retention and leasing activities. This role requires you to live on-site at the community where you work.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and answer incoming leasing calls.
- Determine client needs and present apartment homes using feature or benefit selling techniques.
- Close sales and manage follow-ups with prospects.
- Handle front desk administrative tasks and complete lease file paperwork.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in lease file audits.
- Keep the tour path clean to ensure a positive first impression.
- Assist with planning community events and various projects.
- Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U training.
- Take on-call responsibilities, including nightly rounds and lockouts.
- Work evenings and weekends as required.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder and live on the designated community floor.
- Valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and core values.
