About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a point of contact for residents and prospective clients. You will support our goal of maintaining full occupancy through effective leasing and resident retention. This role requires a blend of administrative work, customer service, and community engagement.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and answer incoming leasing calls.
- Determine client needs and preferences to present apartment homes effectively.
- Manage the full sales process, from initial contact to closing and follow-up.
- Handle administrative tasks at the front desk and maintain accurate lease file documentation.
- Participate in lease file audits and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Keep the tour path clean to ensure a positive first impression for visitors.
- Assist with planning community events and various property projects.
- Complete Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U training programs.
- Take on on-call responsibilities, such as lock-outs and nightly rounds.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder living on the designated community floor.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Capability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Huntsville, Texas.
- Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Hourly rate plus bonus eligibility.
