About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a representative for our community, focusing on customer service and building occupancy. You will work as part of a team to manage resident retention and leasing efforts. This role requires you to live on-site at the community where you work.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and answer incoming leasing calls.
- Determine client needs and present apartment homes using feature and benefit selling.
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through closing and follow-up.
- Handle administrative front desk tasks and maintain accurate lease file documentation.
- Participate in lease file audits and complete all required lease applications.
- Complete Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U training programs.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression.
- Assist with planning community events and various property projects.
- Perform on-call responsibilities, including lock-outs and nightly rounds.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Current or future status as a leaseholder at the community.
- Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and access all areas of the property, including stairs.
- Comfort working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
