About the role#
The Investment Assistant Intern provides support to Financial Advisors and Investment Assistants. You will gain firsthand experience in wealth management operations and client services. This role requires discretion and a commitment to professional standards while handling confidential client information.
What you'll do#
- Process new account and service-related forms.
- Follow up with sponsor companies regarding form submissions.
- Perform data entry into Money Guide Pro for financial plans.
- Review books of business to identify improvement opportunities.
- Attend client and prospect meetings to take notes.
- Enter meeting notes into the CRM system.
- Create and print proposals.
- Answer phones when the Sales Assistant is away.
- Help build a uniform client onboarding process.
- Assist in optimizing office workflows.
- Add new clients to email distribution lists.
- Populate and complete Advisory Review Reports in Clientworks.
- Provide general support to the manager and department colleagues.
- Complete all required bank training within set timelines.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to edit work.
- Ability to solve problems logically.
- A flexible, team-oriented approach to work.
- High degree of personal integrity and an ethical approach to work.
- Ability to work well with associates at all levels.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree or enrollment in a financial studies program is preferred, though relevant experience may substitute.
Location & details#
- Location: Tallahassee, Florida.
- Modality: On-site in a professional office environment.
- Schedule: Part-time, 20 to 29 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Terms: Rolling internship.
