About the role#
The Corporate Communications team provides strategy, advice, and materials to support internal employees and external stakeholder relations. As a student, you will work with a team of professionals on a variety of projects. You will also have the opportunity to observe crisis communications response and government relations activities, including strategy and key message development.
What you'll do#
- Assist with creating content for internal communications, community newsletters, and corporate photo contests.
- Support the development, writing, and promotion of stakeholder reports and newsletters.
- Coordinate details for stakeholder relations community events.
- Provide graphic design support and help with presentation development.
- Track and report on social media and website analytics.
- Update filing systems and consolidate materials.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in your 3rd or 4th year of a degree program in Public Relations, Communications, Public Health, or Journalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on tone and clarity.
- Ability to develop engaging content through creative thinking.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 months).
- Start date: May 2027.
- Work modality: On-site at the head office.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
