About the role#
We are looking for a Software Design Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. You will work on mission-critical applications and gain experience in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced engineers within an Agile development environment.
- Partner with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions.
- Build a portfolio of real-world contributions focused on automation, security, and system reliability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with the Java programming language.
- A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience using version control systems like Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to participate in code reviews and planning.
- Attention to detail and a desire to learn.
Location & details#
- Location: Orlando, Florida.
- Work Modality: This is an on-site, in-office position that may require some travel.
- Security: Due to government contract requirements, you must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
