About the role#
As a Materials Engineer Intern, you will provide technical and administrative support to the Materials Engineering group. You will report to the Materials Engineering Manager and gain experience with metallurgical principles, including material properties, testing, phase transformation, and heat treating.
What you'll do#
- Perform metallographic preparation and analysis.
- Conduct chemical and mechanical testing.
- Support materials-related projects, including forging, thermal processing, plating, corrosion, and cleaning.
- Perform hands-on heat treatment of tooling and R&D material.
- Analyze materials-related data and manage databases.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Materials Science and Engineering BS program.
- Strong attention to detail and a self-motivated approach to completing tasks.
- Clear, concise writing and verbal communication skills.

- Location: Euclid, Ohio.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25.05 - $29.83 per hour.
- Status: Full-time internship.
