About the role#
The Supply Chain Internship at Builders FirstSource provides hands-on experience in sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to support vendor relationships and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives. This is a paid, full-time remote position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with procurement and sourcing activities, such as supplier research and quote comparisons.
- Support purchase order and contract administration processes.
- Analyze spend, supplier, and inventory data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain procurement records, reports, and supplier documentation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and support purchasing needs.
- Participate in projects focused on process improvement and cost optimization.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for leadership review.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferably at the junior or senior level.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated interest in procurement, sourcing, supply chain operations, and business processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Experience with data analysis or reporting tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems is helpful.

- Compensation: 18 to 25 USD per hour.
