About the role#
The Supply Chain Analyst Intern at Asphalt Materials, Inc. contributes to daily operations within the supply chain and procurement functions. You will gain hands-on experience in purchasing, logistics, compliance, and vendor coordination while working across multiple lines of business. This role is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of proposals, bids, and purchase requests.
- Maintain tracking and communication processes for trucking, rail, and purchasing activities.
- Contribute to the implementation of purchasing strategies for chemicals, raw materials, and trucking.
- Gain exposure to multiple AMI lines of business.
- Drive compliance project completion using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal team members, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
- Handle additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior coursework, project work, or internship experience in supply chain, business analytics, or logistics is preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain operations, and vendor coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize work, and collaborate effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- A proactive approach and a willingness to learn.
