About the role#
As a Human Resources Intern at Bridgestone Canada, you will join a team of nine professionals at our Joliette manufacturing site. You will work under the supervision of the HR Business Partner and contribute to various strategic projects. This role offers an environment for professional development through mentorship and hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate on the continuous improvement of HR processes and practices.
- Participate in labor relations tasks, including grievance documentation and supporting managers with attendance management.
- Assist with recruitment activities for interns, students, and operators, such as posting jobs and conducting interviews.
- Support HR Business Partners and the Talent Acquisition Advisor with organizational priorities.
- Coordinate and participate in the onboarding and integration of new employees.
- Update HR systems during the hiring process.
- Perform administrative tasks including data analysis and internal communications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in industrial relations, administration, law, or a related field.
- A strong desire to learn and contribute to team success.
- Autonomy, rigor, organizational skills, and a professional attitude.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Joliette, Quebec.
- Compensation is based on academic progress: $24/h for first-year students, $27/h for second-year, and $29/h for third-year and above.
- A $1/h premium applies to students who have previously worked at Bridgestone.
- High-potential candidates may be considered for future contracts following the internship.
- The selection process includes a remote interview, and a medical exam is required on-site after the start date.
