About the role#
Multimatic is looking for a Purchasing Co-op to join our team in East Gwillimbury. This is a full-time, on-site role for students currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program. We focus on automotive components and systems, and this position supports our purchasing strategies through research and data analysis.
What you'll do#
- Research market segments to find potential suppliers and track industry trends.
- Analyze pricing models and total cost of ownership to find cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare reports and communications regarding your findings.
- Use data to help determine purchasing strategies and improve business efficiency.
- Identify ways to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and the supply base.
- Follow all departmental procedures and guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program related to Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work on your own initiative.

- Compensation: $17.60 - $25.48 per hour.
