About the role#
Brevan Howard offers a summer internship program within the Systematic Data Strategy team. This role provides insight into the operations of a macro hedge fund. Interns work alongside senior professionals to contribute to live projects. The program serves as a pathway for top performers to join our 2028 Graduate Program.
What you'll do#
- Participate in one week of in-depth training covering financial markets, trading strategies, and technical tools.
- Acquire new data assets to support investment processes.
- Manage complex data projects.
- Provide expertise regarding data alternatives across various asset and category types.
- Partner with investment professionals to analyze their specific data requirements.
What you'll need#
- You are a penultimate year undergraduate, a first-year master's student, or a PhD student.
- Your degree must be completed and awarded before July 2028.
- You have strong mathematical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- You are proficient in Excel, VBA, and R.
- You possess an interest in financial markets, trading, and financial products.
- You demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- You maintain exemplary professionalism when interacting with internal and external clients.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, and Economics.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an annualized salary of $125,000, prorated for the 10-week duration. Interns also receive a housing stipend and a completion bonus.
