About the role#
This 10-week summer internship takes place within Brevan Howard Macro Ventures. You will work directly with senior professionals and the Founding Chief Scientist. The program focuses on the intersection of macroeconomic analysis and deep-technology investing. You will engage with companies working in fields like energy, artificial intelligence, space, quantum computing, and agricultural technology.
What you'll do#
- Interrogate technical claims to determine their validity.
- Map industries and assess startup potential.
- Analyze financials to identify investment prospects.
- Connect technical evidence to specific investment judgments.
- Own research questions from start to finish.
- Participate in a one-week training program covering financial markets and programming.
What you'll need#
- You are a penultimate-year undergraduate or first-year master's student with a graduation date before July 2028.
- You are pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or another technical discipline.
- You demonstrate original thought through projects, papers, prototypes, or startups.
- You possess the ability to deconstruct technical claims from first principles.
- You have prior experience through research, independent projects, or previous internships.
- You are fluent in programming and financial modeling, including Excel.
- You exercise judgment when using AI tools.
- You show self-direction, humility, and professional discretion.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Compensation: Paid internship with an annualized salary of $150,000, prorated for the 10-week duration, plus a housing stipend and completion bonus.
