About the role#
The Digital Undergraduate Internship at the Brennan Center for Justice provides an opportunity to support our Communications team in New York. This role involves a mix of research, writing, and administrative tasks. You will gain exposure to our work in law and policy while contributing to our digital outreach efforts. This is a paid, part-time position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support daily digital project production and administrative tasks.
- Attend and observe substantive meetings, events, and internal strategy discussions.
- Assist the email marketing team with quality assurance for newsletters.
- Research trends and best practices for social media, digital campaigns, and email marketing.
- Collect data to create reports on the effectiveness of online marketing and email programs.
- Collaborate with staff on promotion plans, content creation for web and social media, and digital advertising.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student for Spring 2027.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- A punctual and energetic approach to work.
- A genuine interest in the issues addressed by the Brennan Center.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Modality: This is an on-site internship.
- Commitment: Approximately 10-20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
