About the role#
The High School Placement Fellowship provides a hands-on professional development experience for college students, graduate students, and early-career professionals. You will support 8th-grade students as they navigate the high school admissions process. This is a paid, part-time, hybrid position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Mentor a cohort of 8th-grade students throughout their admissions journey.
- Provide direct teaching and guidance on high school applications.
- Communicate with families to share student milestones.
- Offer one-on-one mentorship to help students make informed decisions about their options.
- Attend regular supervision sessions and training to support your work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college or graduate student, or status as an early-career professional.
- A commitment to educational equity and student success.
- Interest in fields such as Psychology, Sociology, History, English, Communications, or Political Science.
