About the role#
Branch is hiring a Commercial Construction Intern for our Summer 2027 program in Roanoke, Virginia. This full-time, paid internship provides students with hands-on experience in preconstruction, project management, and field supervision. You will work alongside our teams to gain practical skills in the construction industry while receiving training and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Interact directly with subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
- Assist with cost planning, scheduling, and materials procurement.
- Support cost control and quality management efforts.
- Follow all safety and security procedures on site.
- Prepare a final presentation summarizing your internship experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Status as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A courteous and professional attitude.
- A valid driver license with a good driving record.
- A determined approach to your work.

- This position is located in Roanoke, Virginia.
- This is an on-site, full-time role requiring 40 or more hours per week.
- Travel to various job sites and offices is required.
