About the role#
Branch is hiring a Heavy Civil Estimator Intern for the Summer 2027 program in Raleigh, North Carolina. This full-time, on-site internship provides a structured learning environment for students to build skills for a career in the construction industry. You will work directly with the preconstruction team while receiving training and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Interact with subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
- Participate in cost planning, scheduling, and materials procurement.
- Assist with cost control and quality management tasks.
- Determine appropriate action steps and follow safety and security procedures.
- Prepare a final presentation at the end of the program to outline your experience.
- Travel to job sites and offices as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional and courteous attitude.
- A valid driver license with a good driving record.

- Schedule: Full-time, typically 40+ hours per week.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
