About the role#
Branch is hiring a Summer Intern for our Heavy Civil Construction team in Boone, North Carolina. This full-time program provides a structured environment for students to build skills for a career in the construction industry. You will receive training, support, and mentorship while taking on real tasks within our Preconstruction, Project Management, and Field Supervision teams.
What you'll do#
- Interact with subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
- Participate in cost planning, scheduling, and materials procurement.
- Assist with cost control and quality management.
- Follow safety and security procedures.
- Prepare a final presentation at the end of the program to outline your experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- A courteous and professional attitude.
- A valid driver license with a good driving record.
- Determination to succeed.
Location & details#
- Location: Boone, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, typically 40+ hours per week.
- Travel: Periodic visits to job sites and offices are required.
