About the role#
Branch is hiring a Summer Intern for our Heavy Civil Construction team. This program provides a structured learning environment for students to develop skills for a career in the construction industry. You will work with our Preconstruction, Project Management, and Field Supervision teams while receiving training and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Interact with subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
- Participate in cost planning, scheduling, and materials procurement.
- Assist with cost control and quality management tasks.
- Follow all safety and security procedures.
- Prepare a final presentation at the end of the program to outline your experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A courteous and professional attitude when working with others.
- A valid driver license with a good driving record.
- A determined mindset.
Location & details#
- Location: Advance, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, typically 40+ hours per week.
- Travel: Required for periodic visits to job sites and offices.
- Note: This position does not offer sponsorship.
