About the role#
Branch is hiring for a Summer 2027 Heavy Civil Construction Intern. This full-time, paid position offers students hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will work with our teams in preconstruction, project management, and field supervision to learn the practical skills needed for a career in this field.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside teams in preconstruction, project management, and field supervision.
- Interact with subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
- Assist with cost planning, scheduling, and materials procurement.
- Help with cost control and quality management tasks.
- Follow all safety and security procedures.
- Prepare a final presentation at the end of the program to outline your internship experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Status as a rising sophomore, junior, or senior.
- Strong analytical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A courteous and professional attitude.
- A valid driver license with a good driving record.
- A determined and focused approach to your work.
Location & details#
- Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site with travel required for job site and office visits.
- Hours: Full-time (typically 40+ hours per week).
- Compensation: $20 to $26 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
