About the role#
As a Cloud & AI Finance Intern, you will analyze and forecast infrastructure spend related to our AI initiatives. You will work alongside Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to model token economics and evaluate how we use our AI resources. Your work will provide actionable insights that help optimize our investments in cloud and AI technologies.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain quantitative models that track AI token consumption, prompt ratios, caching efficiencies, and model inference costs.
- Analyze trends in compute, storage, and infrastructure spend across cloud platforms.
- Query Google BigQuery data warehouses to extract large-scale usage telemetry and automate recurring financial reporting pipelines.
- Track model usage patterns and API call volumes to evaluate infrastructure utilization and unit economics.
- Research emerging AI industry trends and agent architectures to benchmark our AI cost structures.
- Design automated dashboards to provide visibility into AI and cloud spend for stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- Curiosity about artificial intelligence, large language models, agentic frameworks, and AI token economics.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience querying large relational datasets or data warehouses.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, specifically in building structured financial models.
- Strong quantitative reasoning and the ability to turn high-volume usage logs into clear financial insights.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to both engineering and business audiences.
- Eagerness to learn AI engineering concepts and use AI tools to automate workflows.
