About the role#
As a Process Development Co-op, you will work with cross-functional teams to build manufacturing processes for medical devices. You will partner with R&D and Operations to bring new designs to market. This is a full-time, paid position that offers the chance to work on products that impact patient health.
What you'll do#
- Manage the content and integrity of Process Plans, including material selection and task sequencing.
- Work with teams to establish and refine manufacturing processes.
- Design, build, and test prototype devices based on clinical feedback.
- Run process characterization experiments and validation to find optimal manufacturing settings.
- Research and recommend new technologies for medical device production.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or graduate program for Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science/Engineering.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2028 and Spring 2030.
- Ability to commit to a full 8-month co-op during one of these periods: January 11, 2027 to August 13, 2027, or May 17/26, 2027 to December 17, 2027.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Previous internship or co-op experience.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to learn new technologies.
- Interest in working in a manufacturing environment for medical devices.
Location & details#
- Location: Maple Grove, Minnesota.
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least four days per week required in the office.
- Transportation: You must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove site.
- Compensation: This position is paid.
