About the role#
As a Process Engineering Co-Op, you will work directly with our engineering and technician teams to support the development of core manufacturing processes. You will gain experience across experimentation, equipment assembly, vendor management, and data analysis. This role involves seeing your contributions implemented on a live development and production line.
What you'll do#
- Partner with technicians and engineers to set up and execute experiments, modify process equipment, and characterize results.
- Collect, organize, and analyze process and quality data to support engineering decisions and identify trends.
- Engage vendors and suppliers to source equipment, sensors, and components.
- Support the development of manufacturing processes, including slurry preparation, roll-to-roll coating, alloying, and part singulation.
- Assist with the assembly, configuration, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Author and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Provide general engineering support as project needs change.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A hands-on disposition and a genuine interest in working directly with processes and equipment.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience, such as academic labs, maker projects, machining, or prior internships.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data.
- Clear, organized technical writing ability.
- A safety-conscious, self-directed, and organized approach to work.
- Ability to switch between different tasks and problems in a changing environment.
