About the role#
As a Radiology Student Technologist at the Ashland ED, you will work under the direction of a Registered Radiologic Technologist. You will gain hands-on experience in diagnostic imaging while supporting patient care operations.
What you'll do#
- Apply the art and skill of diagnostic imaging by using ionizing radiation safely and effectively.
- Review patient information to prepare for radiographic exams.
- Assist with patient lifting.
- Escort patients to and from the Radiology department.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate updates to medical staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited radiology program.
- Completion of at least one year of school with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
