About the role#
The 2027 BNY Summer Internship Program in Engineering (Production Services) is a 10-week, full-time experience. You will join a team focused on maintaining a secure and stable production environment for a global financial services firm. This program provides hands-on experience in IT Service Management, system monitoring, and application support.
What you'll do#
- Support the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications and technology platforms in a complex enterprise environment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute work, resolve issues, and support both short-term fixes and long-term improvements.
- Use AI and other toolsets to monitor production health, analyze performance data, and identify process improvements.
- Document procedures, configurations, and support activities while learning the full software development lifecycle.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program, with a preference for majors in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Communications, or Cybersecurity.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Keen interest in problem solving and tackling new technology challenges.
- Knowledge and usage of AI tools such as Windsurf and Claude.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and balance multiple tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration and negotiation within a global team.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
