About the role#
The BNY Summer Internship Program is a 10-week experience for students interested in internal audit. You will work within an independent function that assesses the effectiveness of internal controls across the company. Interns receive on-the-job training and work alongside audit professionals to build technical knowledge and professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Support audit work by reviewing processes, risks, and controls across the business.
- Analyze information to document observations and identify themes related to control gaps or process improvements.
- Contribute to audit testing, walkthroughs, and reporting to evaluate how processes function.
- Partner with audit professionals and business stakeholders to gather information and translate findings into insights.
- Gain exposure to how governance, risk management, and internal controls support a global financial services firm.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program, specifically in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Ability to work without sponsorship for an employment visa.
