About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship with the Corporate Communications team at BNSF Railway. You will work on real-life assignments that support internal and external communications, employee engagement, and public relations. This role offers an opportunity to apply your academic skills to professional projects within a large-scale freight transportation company.
What you'll do#
- Write news and feature articles for internal websites.
- Create content for employee mobile apps and social media channels.
- Use analytical tools to track website statistics and social media performance.
- Assist with graphic design for digital and print materials.
- Conduct research and fact-check information for company communications.
- Support special events and employee recognition programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
- Less than three years of professional work experience, excluding internships and part-time jobs.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in an indoor office environment.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
- The role is hybrid, with the ability to work remotely one day per week.
- The internship term is Summer 2027.
- Travel may be required for certain tasks.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace is required.
