About the role#
This Private Wealth Associate internship is a 4-month position based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, for the Winter 2027 term. You will provide general office support and clerical assistance to business groups, helping to facilitate daily operations and meet business objectives. This role involves working on-site and requires a full-time commitment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business goals.
- Manage administrative tasks including filing, record keeping, and database maintenance.
- Coordinate office logistics such as meeting schedules, catering, travel arrangements, and A/V equipment setup.
- Process budget and capital expenditure invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with change management execution and monitor work quality.
- Write, edit, and distribute communication materials and update departmental procedures.
- Track staff attendance and verify timesheets.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and coordinate equipment maintenance.
- Troubleshoot routine problems and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Apply the Risk Management Framework to ensure all activities align with bank policies and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program with the intent to return to studies.
- Typically 2 to 3 years of relevant experience or certification in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of business unit products, services, processes, and controls.
- Understanding of risk and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with transactional documentation, workflow priorities, and deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment like printers and photocopiers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
