About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Arlington, Virginia. You will join our team to produce news-focused explainer and feature videos. This role focuses on making complex legal, tax, and government topics engaging through video content. You will work on-site and participate in team activities, including company charitable events.
What you'll do#
- Pitch, research, and write scripts for video projects.
- Collaborate with reporters and editors to produce news content.
- Assist in all stages of video production.
- Work on real assignments under deadline pressure.
- Learn to maintain accuracy and urgency in a professional newsroom.
- Receive regular feedback and coaching from a dedicated mentor.
- Engage with senior leaders and industry experts.
What you'll need#
- Prior experience in video journalism.
- Proficiency with cameras and editing software.
- A portfolio of videos you have shot, written, and produced.
- Ability to pitch, research, and write scripts.
- Interest in interviewing industry leaders and policymakers.
- Currently enrolled in a graduate journalism program, a recent graduate, or a rising senior who has completed at least three years of an undergraduate program by Summer 2027.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
