About the role#
The News Internship at Bloomberg Industry Group offers hands-on experience in a professional newsroom. Interns work on deadline as members of our team, producing a portfolio of clips while receiving coaching from mentors. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027 based on-site in Arlington, Virginia. We provide summer housing through local universities and encourage participation in company charitable activities.
What you'll do#
- Perform general assignment and beat reporting.
- Research and write news stories, features, and in-depth analytical pieces under supervision.
- Work on deadline with accuracy and urgency.
- Engage with senior leaders and expert professionals.
- Collaborate with our team of reporters and editors.
What you'll need#
- At least three years of an undergraduate program completed, recent graduate status, or enrollment in a graduate journalism program.
- Prior experience in journalism, such as campus media.
- Three published news clips available for review during screening.
- Ability to pitch and write both breaking and enterprise stories.
- A drive to produce quality journalism and a desire to interview industry leaders and policymakers.
- Ability to work within a team under deadline pressure.
