About the role#
Blinn College is hiring a student worker to assist the Technical Theatre Arts Director. You will support theatre productions, campus events, and general facility maintenance. You will work under the direct supervision of theatre arts faculty.
What you'll do#
- Execute designs for scenery, lighting, sound, costumes, and properties for college productions.
- Provide technical support for events in the Performing Arts Center, including theatre, music, and student life programs.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the scene shop, costume shop, workrooms, and storage areas.
- Organize peer teams to complete technical projects.
- Handle assigned office tasks and other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work under the regular guidance and direction of theatre arts faculty.
- Experience or ability to organize teams of peers to finish tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining safe and clean working environments.
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably in Art or Media Studies.
Location & details#
- Location: Brenham, Texas.
- This is an on-site, paid position.
- The role is full-time with rolling start dates.
