About the role#
As a People & Culture Student focused on Organizational Development, you will support the programs and initiatives that shape the employee experience at Bird. You will work closely with the People & Culture team to gain hands-on experience in engagement, culture, inclusion, and talent management. This position provides an opportunity to manage your own area of responsibility while receiving support from a supervisor and technical mentor. You will join us for a 4 or 8 month term starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the delivery and follow-up of the annual organization-wide engagement survey and coordinate related communications.
- Support initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, including employee resource groups and awareness campaigns.
- Help prepare materials and tools for performance management, career development, and annual talent reviews.
- Create and coordinate written, visual, and digital content across various platforms to share stories and encourage participation in company programs.
- Support the planning and delivery of People & Culture initiatives while collaborating with different functional areas.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program related to Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Communications, Marketing, or Organizational Psychology.
- A genuine interest in employee experience, talent management, and DE&I.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- An organized and proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong communication skills, specifically in writing, storytelling, and presentation development.
- Experience with digital content creation, data reporting, or tools like Canva, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, or Workday is an asset.

- This position is based in Calgary, Alberta.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term.
