About the role#
Benesch is hiring for a Civil Transportation Internship during the summer of 2027. You will work with a team of highway and transportation design professionals to improve roadway infrastructure. This role provides an opportunity to receive mentorship from senior engineers and gain exposure to active project sites.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to engineering projects involving highway and roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation.
- Gain hands-on experience with engineering design software and construction documentation.
- Participate in collaborative project delivery tasks.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple assignments efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites.
- Experience with Geopak or 3D modeling is a plus.
