About the role#
Benco Dental is looking for a Communications Intern to join our team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a remote, paid position that offers a chance to gain professional experience in a family-owned company. You will work 15 hours per week while supporting our marketing and creative services projects.
What you'll do#
- Research and write stories for our weekly companywide newsletter.
- Interview associates to gather information for internal communications.
- Assist with proofreading, editing, and formatting various communications.
- Create and edit social media content, including captions, for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Maintain content calendars and research industry trends or new opportunities.
- Capture photos and videos at company events and meetings.
- Monitor social media engagement, track performance metrics, and respond to messages.
- Support general marketing and communications projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- A preferred minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, and Canva.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A curious, creative, and proactive mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position.
- The internship term is Winter 2027.
- You must be able to work 15 hours per week.
- This role is paid at a rate of 12 to 15 dollars per hour.
