Summer Internship (FSU Students)

About the role#

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) offers a Summer 2026 internship for FSU students interested in the mental health field. This full-time, paid position provides hands-on experience in an outpatient environment, focusing on clinical training, supervision, and mentorship within a multidisciplinary care team.

What you'll do#

• Conduct initial assessments and provide evidence-based psychotherapy and social-emotional skills training.
• Develop collaborative treatment plans and track progress toward client goals.
• Participate in clinical team meetings, supervision sessions, and continuing education.
• Deliver client-centered services across various settings, including in-person, telehealth, and community outreach.
• Implement evidence-based practices under professional guidance.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Psychology, Public Health, or Nursing program.
• An interest in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and the mental health field.
• Proficiency with PC/Windows computers, Microsoft Office, and email systems.
• A willingness to work on-site in Springfield at least 20% of the time.
• Preferred: Prior experience working with children, adolescents, or adults.
• Preferred: Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based treatment techniques.
• Preferred: A team-based and goal-directed approach to client care.
