About the role#
BDO Canada is hiring for a Co-op or Intern position within our International Tax team in Toronto. This is a 4-month opportunity starting in May 2027. You will work under the direction of managers and senior team members to gain hands-on experience in a professional tax environment.
What you'll do#
- Apply technical knowledge from your tax courses to real-world assignments.
- Prepare personal tax returns and contribute to various compliance projects.
- Manage your own project timelines by providing status updates to senior staff.
- Monitor time spent on files and flag potential issues.
- Communicate directly with clients to respond to their requests and build professional relationships.
- Participate in the adoption of new digital tools and strategies to improve team workflows.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a degree or diploma in accounting.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- A commitment to teamwork and a desire to provide quality client service.
- Proven leadership skills and the initiative to seek understanding.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto - Bay St, Ontario.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 months).
- Modality: This role is on-site.
- Compensation: $54,000 to $64,000 annually.
