About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to gain experience in financial reporting and internal controls at our headquarters in Bismarck. You will work with the Director of SEC Reporting and Internal Controls and the Financial Reporting and General Accounting team. This role is a full-time, paid position running from May 17, 2027, through August 20, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual SEC filings.
- Research and analyze data to support financial disclosures.
- Collaborate with departments to gather and verify financial information.
- Provide recommendations regarding financial reporting and compliance standards.
- Support the Financial Services team with various projects and daily tasks.
- Follow all safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Enrollment as a full-time student in a four-year Accounting, Business, or Finance program with at least two years completed, or be a graduate from the past 12 months.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required, and you must submit a transcript with your application.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Previous internship or relevant work experience is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Bismarck, North Dakota.
- The role involves regular office work, including the use of computers and office machinery, with the ability to lift up to 10 pounds and push or pull up to 20 pounds.
