The Human Resources Department-Employee Management Intern will support the bank's HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative projects. This role involves implementing bank policies and procedures while assisting with the full employee lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including creating job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Analyze and develop staffing needs by reviewing new hire applications and job descriptions.
- Conduct new hire onboarding programs, including introductory presentations and document verification.
- Facilitate employee termination processes by managing notifications, exit interviews, and access deactivation documentation.
- Coordinate investigations into employee complaints or concerns and report findings to management.
- Assist with training program implementation, DEI initiatives, and employment mobility management, such as updating organizational charts and turnover reports.
- Participate in departmental and bank-wide ad hoc projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree required at the time of hiring; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Relevant internship experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of employment law, EEOC requirements, financial or banking industry standards, and compensation or training processes is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual ability in Mandarin is highly preferred.
- HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR are preferred.
