About the role#
Baird is seeking an intern to join the Talent Acquisition team. This role supports the full life cycle recruitment process. You will work alongside experienced professionals to help source, attract, and hire talent across the firm. This is a paid, year-round position starting in June 2027. You will work full-time hours, between 37.5 and 40 hours per week, during the summer and transition to 15 to 20 hours per week during the school semesters.
What you'll do#
- Perform high-volume interview scheduling for phone, video, and onsite meetings.
- Manage correspondence with candidates and clients.
- Draft and proof offer letters for accuracy.
- Monitor the talent acquisition email inbox and phone messages.
- Update candidate information and interview status in Workday.
- Support hiring managers and interview teams with administrative tasks.
- Assist with process improvements and special projects for the Talent Acquisition and HR teams.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in human resources, communications, business, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain professional, calm, and courteous.
- Organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of motivation, proactivity, and attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
- Prior office experience is preferred.
- Interest in building a career in talent acquisition.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- The role follows a hybrid schedule, with work performed in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remotely on Monday and Friday.
