About the role#
As a Cloud Operations Intern, you will support the team responsible for maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You will work on tasks related to AWS operations, infrastructure lifecycle management, and secure operational practices. This is a full-time, paid, remote position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day cloud infrastructure operations and support.
- Monitor cloud resources and investigate operational issues.
- Participate in automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code improvement efforts.
- Support runbook, checklist, and evidence documentation for operational and compliance needs.
- Partner with engineers to maintain secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments.
- Learn how CloudOps supports EKS infrastructure, EC2, OS builds, AMI updates, patching, and backup management.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Basic understanding of cloud environments like AWS.
- Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Basic understanding of shared storage platforms.
- Interest in Cloud IT Operations, backend compute platform administration, and automation workflows.
- Familiarity with tools like Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
Location & details#
- Work modality: Remote.
- Camera usage: This is a camera-first environment. You must be able and willing to use your camera for all virtual meetings to participate in this role.
