About the role#
As a Software Engineering Co-op, you will help build and maintain the systems that support warehouse automation and customer operations. You will work with experienced engineers to develop production-quality software and improve platform capabilities. This 4 to 6-month program allows you to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world engineering challenges in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Write clean, maintainable, and documented code with guidance from senior team members.
- Help develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
- Participate in code reviews to improve software quality.
- Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues.
- Support the development and enhancement of APIs and system integrations.
- Contribute to telemetry, monitoring, and observability initiatives.
- Collaborate with hardware, product, and operations teams.
- Document technical designs and testing results.
- Participate in Agile activities like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Learn and apply software engineering best practices and development methodologies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Eligible for a 4 to 6-month full-time co-op program.
- Completed coursework in data structures, algorithms, or object-oriented programming.
- Experience with at least one language such as TypeScript, C#, Java, Python, or C++.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Basic understanding of software development fundamentals and debugging.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- You must not require visa support to work in the USA.
