About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is looking for an intern to join our IT Division for the summer. You will work on document automation projects, focusing on the development of on-demand and batch company forms. This role suits a detail-oriented person who enjoys technical tasks and problem solving.
What you'll do#
- Develop company forms using Inspire and Documaker.
- Build automated features into forms.
- Perform visual development and light scripting to add advanced functionality to documents.
- Learn and use tools and techniques adopted by the IT Division.
- Communicate project progress to team members and management.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or Information Technology.
- At least two years of completed coursework.
- Ability to learn new software independently.
- Enthusiasm for finding and implementing solutions to new challenges.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Experience with Java, Javascript, XML, document generation, PDF, Postscript, or batch processing is a plus.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
