About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our IT Division as an Intelligent Automation Developer. You will work on software programs and applications while gaining experience in automation, machine learning, and data analysis. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Lansing, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Write, test, and maintain software programs and applications.
- Fix software errors when they arise.
- Take part in code and design reviews, as well as team brainstorming sessions.
- Create documentation for systems and programs.
- Consult with project leaders, architects, and users to solve problems and explore alternatives.
- Research innovations in OCR, text analytics, and NLP to improve business processes and document understanding.
What you'll need#
- You are working toward a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- You have completed at least two years of your coursework.
- You have a strong desire to develop software and the initiative to get things done.
- You understand Agile software development principles and tools.
- You are able to learn and apply the development techniques and tools used by our IT Division.
- Experience with RPA, Machine Learning, NLP, OCR/ICR, Data Analysis, or Java is a plus.
Location & details#
- This internship is located on-site in Lansing, Michigan.
- The term is for Summer 2027, typically running from mid-May through mid-August.
- You must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
